New users to J would not understand how to use "load" to bring up labs or demos until they had had a chance to look at labs or somebody tell them how to load them. They would expect to find labs and demos from the menu as is done in most other packages and in previous versions of J. Also, there are many things in addons which are hard to find.
How about adding a menu item under Tools called "Addons"? It could pop up a box or something populated from the CAPTIONs in the manifests for the addons.
