unlike you, i have not expressed any malice. the bold text was so you would get the importance of the point, that afterall, is the point of bold text. i doubt you'll find "expressing anger" in strunks/whites elements of style usage for bold. that isn't to say i'm not frustrated! talkin' with worshippers of slim/SC stuff could frustrate the angels. why is it verbotten to talk about making SC more flexible and accommodating out of the box? in any case... CatBus;428292 Wrote: > Seriously, if all you're saying is that you know how to make SC happy > and that you don't want to, we're in total agreement. thats not all i'm saying. i am saying that accommodating the second camp would not infringe on the first. That's all. Minor addendum. hahahah, ok! gee, what was i thinking when i said "you presumably see yourself as the ultimate and final authority on tagging, as to what is and is not correct."??? perhaps i was thinking that you do in fact see yourself as the one true ring, one to rule them all! ;) and just fyi, that was not a personal insult AT ALL. you need to relax. i went on to say i do the same thing! the only difference is, unlike you, i don't believe MY WAY is the ONLY RIGHT WAY for everyone else. that you seem to think you have "the word" on it frankly doesn't matter, b/c as i said before, that doesn't change the fact that SC doesn't create the data brought to it. And if you > tag your music in a way that requires that the software merge those tags > into a single mashup tag (and thus not be able to process some music > correctly), well...then your tags are buggy too. none of that is true. why does an app like winamp for example NEED to know what is or isn't a comp? it doesn't, it works just fine by using AA tags that indicate to the user something is a comp. it may not be as "aware" but that doesn't make it buggy, or detract from its use. moreover, i don't know which internet sources, if any, set a comp tag. so whats an EAC user to do when they come to SC? in order to get a good experience, they have to add lots of tags, and i'm saying that should not be necessary by design.
