Totally agreem, Configurability is the key, which in a long winded way is what I was saying. In fact, what people want will change over time, as they explore the richness of the Squeeze environment. Also it will change depening on situation, hence the desire by some for a party mode option. 7.4 has really damaged the use of the IR remote. I expect the IR remote to do the same thing when pointed at any IR-capable player (that is consistency) but if using the Touch screen then it is a clearly different interface (so consistency is less of an issue). I can't find any enhancement requests for this, if you're aware of any please reply, otherwise I'll post an enhancement for 'configurability' and hopefully we can get some air time to debate the best method for doing this.
