Touch to play (in my opinion) is evil, so you can add that to your feedback stats. Whilst I agree that tap-and-hold should be context menu, touch to play (esp. if it replaces rather than add to playlist) is just evil. It's like an operating system having click to delete by default... Single touch should select/navigate - nothing destructive. Maybe I'm used to Windows Explorer, where I have maintained the original behaviour of single click to select and double-click to perform a default action. WinXP tried to change Explorer behaviour for new installations to have single-click to open folders - most people I know hate that and it's the first thing that gets changed. >> Of course, I could have made the whole thing one big setting - >> tap-and-hold or tap for menu - but "user preferences" are evil. Couldn't agree less. User Preferences are not evil, especially if presented properly. There shouldn't be a need for users to have to look at all settings (select decent defaults), but there's no reason not to have settings. Users evolve and over time explore options to get more out of software. Fewer options, means less people satisfied. _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
