Album Artist can be used quite well with Compilations to group albums by the creator/arranger/mix artist. Typically this could be for the DJ whose series the compilation is from etc.
I think, from looking back at this thread, there is the usual clique-y opinions of those who only believe that their chosen kinds of music deserve the attention of the developers, be that classical, electronic/dance, jazz etc. One of the great strengths of the Slim/Squeeze products and software is the configurability.
