Another dumb Q for my own education. (I'll ask now while the s/n of tread is on it's way down)
Is not logitech missing the point with a dB ? in the first place . If they prefilter the information prior to storing it :confused: Should not a datbase be simply as storage off information about the files, all information. And then the application query said dB when needed for presenting the info in whatever way (which this tread is about) . SBS seems to use it's own "internal meta data format" ? and the dB is in that format ok ? But it is not one format ? as for example "group compilations together" requries a new scan ? and rebuild of the dB ? Is it not so than SBS seems to mix the dB and the application in some way ? You can not get everything you want . So is there a bug request for just the one thing of getting the scan do be done in such way that the dB would work in every way sbs want to present the information without a rescan . Just a small step forward imho . I want to single out this as it is often a part of bugs/request of a more radical nature that require the whole thing to be rewritten .
