If you want to test browsing, you can always use the test libraries I
once generated: http://erland.isaksson.info/arkiv/flac_test_libraries/
For scanning these won't work since the files are unrealistically small
so database will be more of a bottleneck than it actually is in a real
system, so for scanning performance measurements I would go with
pippin's suggestion of using hard links.
