I don't know. The "regular" BMF is undocumented. I brose folders using the musicfolders query and I play them using the playlistcontrol command.
On some systems, especially under Windows, this will cause stuttering playback. On some systems, playing a folder this way will skip certain tracks, The CLI as documented simply doesn't always work. The SqueezePlay menus use opaque commands which are somehow interpreted on the server side. I don't know what they are doing. IMHO BMF is simply broken and some dubious workaround got implemented within the server side code but never exposed.
