It was set to "Download and pre-cache artist pictures from online sources". I just installed 7.9 (Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 1408690240 @ Sun Aug 24 04:03:08 UTC 2014) on my main server on Sunday and did a complete clear and rescan, which took a bit over two hours for an 87,407 track library. Definitely faster than previously. But yesterday's playlist-only scan took a whopping 06:52:32! I wonder if it either didn't do the MAI scan the first time or if there was some issue with the online sources yesterday. I'm really not complaining since it didn't interfere in the slightest with the music, it just struck me as odd. I love the new features in 7.9 and feel stupid for not switching to it sooner.
