Okay, so did you put the .bib file in the directory you created at 
~/Library/texmf/bibtex/bib?

If it's in the search path, just refer to it by name

\bibliography{ReligionHistoryJun07}

and bibtex will find it.

Looks like you're missing a path separator after bibtex/bib, and you don't need 
the .bib extension.
