This intersection always makes me nervous; whenever I go that way, I
wonder if I'm going to get hit by a right-turning vehicle on Eastwood
Drive -- and that's what happened to someone else on Friday.

Nothing excuses the truck-driver's actions, of course, but I have to ask
if the design of the path -- and the intersection in particular -- is part
of the problem. I really like that path, but I know there's a traffic
engineering principle that it's not a good idea to put a two-way separated
bike path next to a busy street.

This path is a fait accompli, and a nice one at that; but is there a way
to modify the Division Street intersection to make this sort of incident
less likely?
