You can address both of these issues on the Report a problem section of
the Home page of the City web site. The issue of getting access to a
push button can be addressed in the snow removal section. The problem
with a faulty push button in cold weather can be addressed in the
traffic signal section.

Since you put all of the information down about the walk button not
working I'll forward it on to the traffic engineering shop.

Subject: [Bikies] Re: walk light push buttons

Are we supposed to complain to the city when the snow is piled so high
on the sidewalk corner that it's dangerous/impossible to reach the push
button? Or is my assumption that the city has other priorities correct?

Who do I tell that the walk light button on Research Park Drive and
Whitney Way freezes whenever the temp is below 20? Do you use the same
form as for traffic violations? I deal with this almost every morning in
the winter. There are steady streams of people jaywalking across Whitney
Way because it's impossible to get a walk light. I keep thinking I
should pack a hammer or mallet in my bag to see if that gets the walk
button moving, but there's always the concern that someone will mistake
me for a saboteur and I'll get a vandalism citation and a big fat fine.
