I thought this was the truth but I got pulled over in the city of Stoughton, last week, because and a cop passed me with less than 2 ft. of clearance. I expressed my disapproval with a hand gesture (not the finger)- he stopped and asked what the problem was- I responded by saying I would like more room when he passes me - He went nuts-Tried to find a law that I broke- He couldn't and had to let me go after a lecture on how I could not be in the traffic lane unless I was going the speed limit... The bottom line is they (cops) have all the power- they can make up the rules and if we disagree it will cost a lot of money to hire a lawyer to fight the charge- they drop the charges and we are still stuck with the bill.

Subject: [Bikies] "Bikes may use the full lane"

Browsing through Streetsblog, I came across a picture of a useful sign, in Miami, of all places:

The same rule applies in Madison, as far as I know, but a lot of Madison drivers would be astonished to hear that.
