Well, that example couldn't work because iTunes playlists cannot be 
manually added to the Custom catalogue section anyway. But custom file and 
folder entries can (as well as several other types), so why not simply 
include a check at the same time to see whether the item in the first pane 
is a file or folder (or whatever)? Then the action would only become 
available when it could actually work.
