NTP has two versions newer than 4.2.0. They are 4.2.0a and 4.2.0b. According to the most simplistic of understanding, the "b" release is considered development and the "a" release is called a point release. 4.2.0 is still considered the production release. However, 4.2.0 is 2 years old, and a wc -l on the changelog results in 2714 lines. The changelog starts at the bottom with the release of 4.2.0 so that's a lot of improvement. Would updating the book to 4.2.0a be a viable option for BLFS? (BTW gcc-4 fixes are included in the "a" release).
