 Surprised.  On my "sysv" 20140502 build (i.e. by the book except
for my errors, if any, using sysvinit) fluxbox worked without any
problems.

 I used it while I checked that I had a desktop, ran pm-suspend
overnight, and then built the gtk toolkits so that I could use
icewm.  This is on my intel, with only intel-specific drivers and
only the relevant parts of Mesa.
