I sympathise with that view, but life is too short (or, the good is
the enemy of the perfect). Last night I updated the exifdata on some
pictures, ready to upload, and then discovered that my Copyright tag
was duplicated.
Thought it might be a regression in exiftool (previous scripting had
been with the previous stable release), tried latest - no change,
went to flickr to look at my previous uploads (and what a PITA
flickr is these days) and discovered those too had duplicated
Copyright data. For the moment I'll live with it.
But then, I've got a *lot* of things I want to do, and others I
ought to do, so debugging the things that are only irritating is
usually a very low priority - except for the rare occasions where I
think "Oh, this will be easy" - and usually it isn't.
