Hope you fix it Chris. It does sound hauntingly familiar to the crashes I got on my old upgrade though. Anything disk intensive would cause the machine to fall over. I could never complete a virus scan. The misleading error message feedback was that it was probably a video drive conflict . I therefore upgraded my video card, updated my video driver , doubled my system ram and changed a hard disc. all to no avail. It was only when I went back to sp1 that the problem disappeared on that machine. For some reason the hardware just did not like sp2. Computers can drive you nuts. Regards
