Hi ,
It is a program that use to be on my computer and is no longer and I am just 
trying to delete the folder that is left behind on my computer and every time I 
try to delete it it gives me this message please check to make sure this is not 
right-protected or in use ok button 
I just do not know why it will not let me delete it when the program is no 
longer on my computer
can any one tell me why.
I am using windows xp

Are you sure it's a folder and not a program? Also you can't delete
something that is running or in some way being used by another program or
process.
Could you be more specific?
