Hmmph, if you do music/graphics, etc a mac is good for you.

If you don't mind the price then fine.

If I restarted I'd go mac but I have spent so much and in fact have to deal so much with windows on a regular basis that I figure if I use the same os everyone uses I can keep up with things.

For a gamer and general user a mac really isn't that cool.

True, I guess I could wipe it and load windows but no mac has duel storage drives as far as I know.

Plus most of my software is on windows and its unlikely I will be doodling with itunes that much.

On the other hand, I do know that mac os updates at least for iphones etc also include bios updates within the software upgrade.

However, verry little mac stuff do I have.

I guess I'd have to wineskin it but I am used to a windows keyboard.

Macs have voice over and while its good for what it is its the only reader macs have.

Compaired to my comercial readers on windows and nvda there are at least 3 main ones if you count jaws, and supernova and maybe another one, I have supernova and nvda.

For all its patched appearance, windows is going to be what I stay with.

Even if I get a server, its either going to be windows, or linux in such a way that only I will ever need to directly interact with it and users can handle it via the web or through windows to where they need to go.

While it would be cheaper to go the linux rout my issues are user interaction, I don't really want or need users to ask me how to interact withanother os.

None of them know how to interact with macs let alone linux, heck some of them still struggle to interact with windows itself, and all of my family forget security and login info.

I allready deal with my share daily of password change requests, and malware due to them loading more stuff I didn't approve without asking me.

I am certainly not adding a couple oses in when they sometimes struggle to get a printer to run.

Hi,
I've been considering getting a Mac for my next computer when this one makes its spontaneous retirement. The primary reason is that you seem to be able to get the best of all worlds. In adition to running MacOS, you can run Windows via Bootcamp. It won't surprise me if you can run Linux as well. Another reason is music software. I don't know the current status of MIDI/Digitil Audio stuff on Windows nowadays. The old version of Sonar Cakewalk/Caketalking is aparantely a little unstable under Windows 10. I heard of some othe rpackage called Samplitude, although I don't know much more about it apart from the name. Music on the Mac, on the other hand, seems to be a totally different story when it comes to screen reader accessibility, even though it aparently have had its ups and downs too.

Hi,
Being totally blind from birth, I've never touched a mouse, and I hope I would never need to. Mice (mouses? mice? that just sounds weird!) were unusable by the blind at the time when I was taught computers, hence the reason I could never really play Swamp or RailRacer, let alone think about complete system navigation with it. Not only that but my coordination and spatial awareness isn't all that great. If I can't use a touchscreen then I've no chance of using a mouse.
Cheers.

Windows users just think mac operating system is hard until they start
playing with the mouse then they learn different quickly.  Now, mac on
the command line interface, that's a different operating system and
needs study.

Katie,
That may well be your opinion. I know a lot of people who are Mac lovers, and they are certainly well advertised. But for those who are brought up and taught around Windows, learning a whole new operating system is like learning how to live on another planet. You may as well lose your legs, get wooden ones and learn how to walk all over again. I had to sell my Mac because I couldn't figure for the life of me how to use it.
Cheers.
Damien.

That, my friend, is why you should get a Mac. They don?t eat your stuff most of the time

Hi I was wondering if someone could send me the link to the website which  had all the audio game recordings, including the ones from Asmodean.net? I  had it until my system got wiped by a stupid microsoft update, and now I
 can't remember the webb address.

 Thanks from Lori.
