I can't believe that the very small amount of vibration from a ceiling fan 
would damage the electronics in a CF bulb.  The thin wire of a tungsten 
filament is also rather delicate and can be broken by the bulb being 
dropped.  I'm not being funny.  If you knock over a table or floor lamp the 
glass of the bulb is rarely broken but the shock of the fall is enough to 
break the filament.
