I considering making some wine buckets for Christmas gifts. I got the idea
from an acrylic iceless one that I have. When you place a cold bottle in it
keeps it cold for quite a while. I also read about some stainless steel
double walled ones.
I am wondering if wood would be enough of an insulator?
The construction technique would be to cut about 10 or 11 circles. Then cut
another hole in the center of all but one. Then stack and glue the rings to
the one full sized circle. I would then take the remaining circles of wood
to make coasters. I would take one square block and glue in a rod and place
the coasters over the rod for storage. That is the basic construction. Any
thoughts? Would this work for an insulator?
