Hi Jennifer, After Tom's post I thought about that. I have no idea how or where I acquired the acrylic one that I have. If I could find them cheap enough it would be the perfect liner. With the extra wood surrounding it I would suspect that it would become more efficient. There is also a sheet metal shop not too far I wonder how expensive a stainless cylinder liner would be? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jennifer Jackson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, June 15, 2008 12:10 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] wine bucket
What about looking around for some kind of small plastic, or better Styrofoam, bucket or cup to slip inside? Something like the ones you get for ice in hotels? As the plastic ones are mass produced, you should be able to get some cheap. Check with a local hotel or a restaurant supply for a source. I do think you are on target here though. I think this would be a lovely gift. They used to make ice boxes of wood, but they were mostly doublewalled and had some kind of insulation between the walls.
