Hello Dale,  My router isn't a wireless one.  I've had it at least 5 years. 
I can hook up 4 computers to it.  When I do decide to buy a new laptop, I'll 
have to buy a wireless card for the desktop, a new wireless router, and I 
think my service provider may have to send me a wireless modem.  Unless my 
present cable modem can hook up to the wireless router.
