I fully second that. The only thing, this should happend at National level.
The name "Bhumi" is very nice for a social service organisation.
The fund raising is very important. Let's have registered and start
fund-raising.

Some members(Mujeeb etc.) are currenly working on finding out the details
> abput registering a social service organization which will work exclusively
> under BM. This i a very important matter and we feel it's better than
> working with other organizations and taking the credit as BM's work.
>

Its okay that we register as Bhumi and then have Bhumi-NGO program. Now when
the banner includes our name, noone can take credit away from us. And when
NGO is local and BHUmi is national, you know who will get more importance.
We want local NGO because they have good local experience in working for the
specific area.

> Please consider this matter to be very important, as we are taking on some
> big projects here in Hyd and mobilizing funds from corporates etc. can only
> be done if our organization is registered.
>

Yes, do it asap in my opinion. But dont do it only as hyderabad level. Do it
at national level. Once it happens at national level, automatically you will
be allowed at hyderabad level.

I understand that we cannot register ourselves as a political organization
> yet
>

Neither will it have any positive effect.

, which is why I feel registering a voluntary organization which will work
> under the BM banner is the way to go. Please comment and let's reach a
> consensus on this asap.

I think because there is a admin team, they have the power to take decision.
Whatever discussion takes place within a certain period of time, depending
upon its results and your personal discussion with other active members,
take decisions. You are entitled for that, IMHO.

Dear Umeshji,
I am organising / participating in a conference on RTI AND E-Governance in
Agra during these dates so i am refering it to some of our friends from our
network who are close to Nagpur or they can send some more people and let us
know the progress along with the profile of the organisation. They can also
present a paper .

About your second mail i found it very relevent as the demand of renewable
energy is growing day by day and we need to promote it in India as we have
sun light available almost 11 months recently i was a part of two
conferences on renewable energy organised by the ministry of non
conventional energy i found that they have lot of resources but they are not
utilising those resorces in the right direction .
do keep on sending me important informations

Best Regards

Ram

*International Convention on
Globalization and Rural Development*

India Institute of Youth Welfare will organize the International Convention
on Globalization and Rural Development from February 24 to 26, 2006 in
Nagpur, India.
Globalization has different meanings in different context. Some parts of the
world see it as a process that can boost economies, improve living
standards, reduce economic disparity and create more understanding by
integrating different cultures under one roof-World. Other part of the world
believes it as an instrument of destruction making the least developing and
developing countries economically weak.

The main themes of the Convention includes:
* Globalization and Rural development
* Globalization and its effects on common person.
* New Economic Policy on rural Industrialization.
* Globalization: its impact on farm export.
* Agro Industry: the changing dimension of Agro economy.
* Structural adjustment and rural development.
* Social security and structural adjustment.
* New economic policy and rural Industrial employment.
* Rural poverty and economic reforms: opportunities and Constraints.
* Employment and unemployment of youth.
* Unorganized sector and public policy (in the context of structural
adjustment).
* Globalization and New Value Systems.
* Globalization and population issues in rural sectors.
* Globalization and environment issues.
* Globalization and water resources management.
* Globalization and its effects on health

The organizer believe that sharing of the problems in the areas of rural
development would go a long way in identifying the challenges and help to
come out with solutions to overcome those hindrances posed in the way of
developing rural sectors. An International Convention on Globalization and
Rural Development would be a platform to spread the message of combining the
essence of globalization and bringing self-sufficiency among the rural
segment. After all Globalization must create opportunities, jobs and hopes
for everyone.
