Are there switch contacts on the TPS or only the variable resistor?  The TPS 
performs as a voltage divider.  It is better to measure the actual voltage 
out rather than the resistance, but it sounds like your's is OK.  Engine 
sensors nearly all use 5 volt reference signal.  I'd expect the output to 
vary between some fraction of a volt, and close to 5 volts as the throttle 
is moved.

If I understand what you're asking, there are only the 3 contacts where the 
harness plugs into the TPS.  I don't remember seeing any other contacts, but 
I'll look again tomorrow.

It sounds like I'm back to the ICV as the source.  I just hate to send off for 
a $390 part that may not me the problem.

Thanks for the input on the resonator.
