I just got one for my wife and would like to do a couple of tweeks here and
there...nothing big. I am wondering about the illuminated shift knob
upgrades, what wheel/tire options are open...especially how wide I can go on
the rears, and any other opinions anyone may have for easy upgrades to this
car. Basically looking for BTDT stuff from members of this list. Thanks to
everyone in advance.

Sorry, I meant 2.8, of course.

OK, I last posted this in the spring when nobody was thinking about
winter. But now it's September, and you're thinking of snow! So I'm
going to try the uuc list once more as a favor. :)

The ol' 528 won't be spending another winter on the roads in its
current form. So buy my winter wheel/tire package from me!

Borbet type B wheels - 15", 18mm offset for e39 and ??
Dunlop SP Winter Sport M3 winter tires, about 2 winters / 3500 miles on
them. (great winter tires BTW)
Still straight, clean, balanced, etc.
Comes with lugbolts too.

This set of 4 is $800 from tirerack.com

Offer me $500 and I'll drive them to your house and mount them for you.
(offer good within 1 hour drive of Kalamazoo, MI)
Pick them up from me for $400.
Insult me with an offer, what have you got to lose?
