As I still know very little about what will happen about the new credit
proposal could I please ask a few questions in the hope that others may be
able to clarify the situation.

1. I assume that Seti is still using new credits. Has the trial of new
credits there been considered successful?

2. Are there still problems with the proposed system or no longer?

3. Are there any plans yet to add the code for the new credits to a future
Boinc server version?

4. If so, approximately when is this likely to be made available to
the projects?

5. Will the use of new credits by projects be optional or compulsory (eg
compulsory for any particular purpose)?

6. Will projects be able to vary any of the values in the new credit
proposal in order to award credit at a higher or lower rate? Or would doing
this subvert the intention of the proposal?

7. How long will CPDN need to keep its current rather nightmarish Boinc
server version to allow the collection of data for the comparison of old and
new credits?

8. Can anyone explain how the new proposal works?

9. I know lots of people will rush to answer this. Does anyone know how new
credits would affect the credit situation at any particular project?
