I can imagine many scenarios as well and I'm as understanding as the
next guy. But the key is that this person hasn't offered any sort of
explanation. If this person came out and explained herself--"I have
OCD" or "I've been depressed, I just haven't read much, and I'm sorry
about the backlog"--I'd have no problem. But to discover that this
person, who I offered one RABCK book originally, who responded by
asking for many more than the one, promising to move them along, and
to whom I trusted and sent a *box* of books, well, it bugs me, it
disturbs me.

During the time I have been a member of this list a few regular
posters have come out/requested support/just wanted to talk. We have
always been supportive whether the condition has been cancer,
depression, in one case alzheimers.

So if someone doesn't forward your book don't immeadiately suspect the
worst. Chances are that the person is a rat, but truth be told you are
a little daft if you in truth expect to get the book back in the end.
Instead, imagine the worst, what if that person is depressed at the
moment 8 months is nothing (believe me from personal experience I can
tell you depression can last 8 years and more).

Imagine the person you are attacking is an obsesive compulsive that is
fighting the condition...
