I'd try the card from the back slot. I have run into situations where cards
didn't work properly in the side slot but worked fine in the back slot. Never have had to wait five minutes for a file list to come up.

I have written to Jonathan and Dean about this, but I haven't heard from Dean, and Jonathan doesn't really have an answer. I'm mostly looking for folks who just might have had this experience.

I have a folder on my 256 meg compact flash card that has several hundred books on it. It's huge, believe me. When I go in to the folder and press the space bar to get to the list of files, it takes over five minutes to get to the list if my wireless network card is unplugged or if another compact card is plugged in to the back slot. I usually keep this particular card in the side slot. Now, here's what's strange. When I plug the network card in to the slot, it takes about half the time to get to the list of files in the folder. Thinking that perhaps this folder was corrupt, I tried erasing it after backing up all the files, and I was told that "this network request is not supported" or something akin to that. I reset the unit and was then able to erase the folder. I created the folder again, put all the files back and got the same results when going in to the folder as mentioned above. Now if you all aren't totally confused, what are your thoughts?
