I would guess that when anyone takes their equipment to work or
school that it's never unplugged from a wall socket first. Most
people have things plugged in, and if any one has an office like
mine, you'd have to crawl under the desk to plug and unplug. I
will say that equipment should be shut off before plugging and
unplugging.

Oh I forgot some of the bn design is still partly in the dark
ages. If you
are working on a pda/laptop you are not going to close it down
then plug it
in or unplug it and interupt your work flow. They are made to
handle the
powerload or possible sirge or there is compasitence in place to
protect/help eliminate it.
At any rate it never acted like this at all with the 5.x and
earlier
versions.

Hi all,
You should always turn off the unit before connecting the power
cord,
and, you should never, never, never, unplug any electrical
appliance,
no matter what kind from the device first. Always unplug the
wall
plug first!
Good Heavens, don't they teach folks to handle electronic devices
these
days?
