I have to agree, I do not un plug my PK from the wall first. I just
leave the power supply pluged in. I have never heard that you must unplug
the power supply first. Later

I would guess that when anyone takes their equipment to work or school that
it's never unplugged from a wall socket first. Most people have things
plugged in, and if any one has an office like mine, you'd have to crawl
under the desk to plug and unplug. I will say that equipment should be shut
off before plugging and unplugging.
