Hi Paul,

Well, the gremlins are alive and well and thriving in my computer.
I did not get anywhere with a c3c4 reset. I tried a c1c4 shut down and when I hit c1c4 to bring it back, active sync worked as intended.
I got on the internet, checked e-mail and explored the PK from Active Sync.
About 8 minutes later, the old problem returned. I had left the PK plugged in while I began to write a simple thank you note. Then, the computer started alternating between the usb connect and disconnect sounds. Then there was a message about the hardware device not working correctly and active sync came up with the check box to stop it from looking for devices, etc.

I tried re-sets again, to no avail.

This is more than a little annoying.

I don't suppose anyone from Humanware has any idea what might be the problem?

Richard

Richard,

While connected to the USB port, perform a c3-c4 reset; it should remove
that message. That can sometimes occur if you've had a totally different USB
device previously connected to the port and then you connect up the PK, but
a reset should fix it.

Paul.
