This is Joseph. There should be no obstacles e.g. walls, doors, blocking the
Bluetooth signal.

Hi,

Regarding the range issue, it is about 10 meters (30-ish feet) line of
sight. I have tried it through two walls, at an angle, with the usb adapter
in my computer under my metal desk. Didn't work.

As far as speech, the braille terminal only does exactly what it
says: braille. It would be great to combine the speech synthesizer and
braille terminal, but right now you only hear Jaws talking as you command
it. A strange note on that: when you type, no speech happens. When you
delete a character, speech comes back for about twenty characters, then
disappears again.
Not a big deal, since you have the braille, but not expected, either.

Hope this helps,
Alex
