I was under the impression that speech and braille came out of the unit when controling the computer. I got this idea because of Jonathan's recorded information which plays on hold when you call humanware. He says you can go outside in to the sunshine and work on your PC from the comfort of your brailleNote. Maybe you get your bn acting as athe speech synth at the same time asacting as the keyboard? I have tried it through two walls, at an angle, with the usb adapter in my computer under my metal desk. Didn't work. As far as speech, the braille terminal only does exactly what it says: braille. It would be great to combine the speech synthesizer and braille terminal, but right now you only hear Jaws talking as you command it. A strange note on that: when you type, no speech happens. When you delete a character, speech comes back for about twenty characters, then disappears again. Not a big deal, since you have the braille, but not expected, either. Hope this helps, Alex > ----- Original Message ----- >From: "chaman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected] >Date: Sun, 19 Mar 2006 12:56:47 -0000 >Subject: [Braillenote] question on keyboard emulator >hello, >I wanted to know that when you control your pc with bluetooth are you able to sit far away from computer i mean do you get any speach output when you working on your pc with the braille note. >please could someone get back to me as soon as possible thanks >regards, >Chaman >___ >To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to >[EMAIL PROTECTED] >To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit >http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
