Yes that would be the way to do it. I don't know if there are bluetooth
ones but that would be even better.

Hi Terry,
I would think a software program could be loaded on theBrailleNote and
the only item you would have to carry with you would be a small bar code
scanner for scanning the actual item.  Just my thoughts for what they
are worth.

I don't know about dosage information, but Envision America makes the ID
Mate Omni bar code scanner which has approximately one million
commercial bar codes in its database.  If the manufacturer includes
extra information, it speaks it.
The ID Mate Omni is self-contained.
