I don't think that you have much to fear about someone getting in to your
system. The router has a built in fire wall and is quite safe.
I have had a router on my system for over 4 years and have had no trouble
with people trying to get in to my system.

modem, since we have two separate pieces. He does not want the modem on
for fear of people getting into the system. I have just told him about
turning off the SSID broadcast, so maybe that will make things easier.

Sorry about the confusion about leaving the modem off rather than the
router.
I must say that the wireless on the BN surely does work well!
