Richard and all, I am very shocked to hear that. My friend pre-ordered a Victor Stream at Sight Village, so I hope he won't get charged either. Hello list:
When I attended the NFB convention in early July, I purchased a Victor
Reader Stream.  HumanWare advised me that the units wouldn't ship until
late August.  Since one of my co-workers is currently beta testing the
Victor Reader Stream's firmware, I know they are not ready to ship.
However, my credit card has been charged for the price of the Stream.  I
do not find this practice to be ethical or fair.
I just thought you should be aware of this in case it happens to you.
