Sharon, as far as I'm aware, you're supposed to hold the keys down, which is
j-k I believe in your case, until you hear some strange tones, then let them
go. Try that. Hope it helps.

I successfully installed the product key and the boot file, but the actual
keysoft 7.5 upgrade is what is not installing. It is a VN QT. I released
the keys at the same time, but I am wondering if, it could be possible,
that I held them too long?

What steps have you taken so far in the upgrade? Did you install the
product key? Are you using a QT or a BT keyboard? If a QT, make sure
you hold down the JK with reset. Release them together. You should hear
ascending tones. If you are using a BT, hold down the 45 reset and
release them together. Hope this makes sense.

I am upgrading my husband's Voicenote to 7.5 for him. He is
currently running 7.2. I have followed all instructions, but I do not
hear the progress tones for the upgrade. Would someone enlighten me on
what I should do next? I have tried reinstalling three times with no
success.
