If your hearing loss is preventing you from hearing the tones the BrailleNote makes when you do the dots 4-5 (J-K) reset to start the actual update, I suppose you could telephone me and I may be able to hear them on the telephone and tell you they were sounded. Oh remember to make the depress of the actual reset button just a momentary press and immediate release! I held my reset button down too long and the unit just performed a simple reset. Will be out this afternoon until around 3 PM EDT but then will be in until about 4 PM then back from supper around 7 PM. If you telephone me, I will gladly note your name and number and call you right back to minimize your telephone bill. You may use either my regular or FAX numbers, as the FAX isn't answering its phone until a burned-out laser motor is replaced this week. Brian Brian K.
