I must add this. The Pac Mate handles Email far better than the Braillenote. You receive your messages at least three times as fast, you don't have to free database space religiously, and you can read html email. However, I had so many other problems with the device that I just couldn't rely on it. I still teach it, but in order to do those things that one expects a note taker to do, I just couldn't keep using the Pac Mate for my personal work.

First, The PM is the better choice if you actually want to be running Windows. Second, my sense from the discussions on this list, is that the PM does a much better job of handling Word documents. 3. The PM does run Instant Messenger, so that would be something to consider if it is important to you.
