Well, both the packmate and the braille note have advantages and disadvantages. I have never experienced a packmate, but if there are people who prefer a packmate rather than a braille note then they are entitled to that choice. Just out of interest, does the packmate have a dictionary and GPS like the braille note?

As a current user of that product, I would put a couple of caveats on
these statements.

First, The PM is the better choice if you actually want to be running
Windows.

Second, my sense from the discussions on this list, is that the PM does
a much better job of handling Word documents.

3. The PM does run Instant Messenger, so that would be something to
consider if it is important to you.

I also have the impression that BN users have to perform resets much
more frequently, though that could be just an impression.

Just some food for thought.

The omni will run CE 5, but Windows Mobile 6.  Also, the MPower
has 125 mb ram as will the Omni.  However, I agree completely
with what you said and recommend the same course of action.
