Dear Terri and list:

Before you run your transplant into the ground, consider the cost
of repairs or cleaning VS buying a new unit from someone else.

If your transplant only needs cleaning or minor repairs, the cost
per year of using it may be considerably cheaper than buying a
brand new unit from elsewhere.

And you do have the advantage of knowing the product well. A
different unit will require getting used to and there is no
guarantee its manufacturer will offer a service agreement on it.

I realize you and many other transplant owners are unhappy to say
the least, and hopping mad would probably be more descriptive of
your frame of mind about the policy change, but the BrailleNote
is a pretty good unit or otherwise you wouldn't have bought it in
the first place and wouldn't have transplanted if you were
completely unhappy with its performance.

Take care.
