Hi Guys,

Don and Chris, thanks for the advice about the service rest. I tried it, but
unfortunately, the braille display still cannot be turned on. I'm almost
positive that the tech support guy I once talked to had me do something after
we did a reset. It may very well have been a service reset that we did, but we
did something in addition to it because I remember being disappointed right
after the reset and him telling me to hold on because we weren't finished yet.

Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated. I guess if we can't come up with
anything I'll call tech support on Monday.

Thanks.

Lauren

Lauren, try a service reset if you have a BrailleNote mPower.

Subject: [Braillenote] restoring braille display functioining

Hi List,

I was just working on my Braille Note a minute ago, when the braille display
suddenly stopped working. When I tried the command to turn it back on (space
and the far right thumb key), it says "the braille display is not
operating." This happened to me once before and a Humanware tech support guy
talked me thru a reset and an additional command that restored the braille
display. But I can't remember what we did and it's the weekend so I can't
get tech support. Can anybody help me get the braille display turned back
on?

Thanks so much for your help.

Lauren
