Hi, Joseph. Four years old didn't seem that old to me because I have been accustomed to the reliability and long battery life of my Braille Lite, which is eight years old, by the way, and is functioning very nicely even as I write this. I see that standards of longevity and battery power are lower in the BrailleNote.
