Hi,
It's not that the battery power is low on BrailleNote series. The law is
that, the more components and power a computer uses, the battery life would
decrease fast. BrailleNote is more powerful than Braille Lite in terms of
tech specs and software functionality. Another note to keep is that the
batteries lose certain capacity over time.
My personal advice for prolonging battery life are using wireless components
only when needed, charing the battery after almost full drain and turning
off the mPower when not in use for a long time. In certain situations,
putting the BrailleNote to deep sleep/hibernation mode helps when not using
the unit for a very long time (over several days); the problem is that you
have to perform service reset to wake up the unit, which meant resetting
clock settings. Compared to that, Apex preserves clock settings - all that
is required is resetting few braille and other settings.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Joseph P.S. You don't have to create a new thread - simply just reply to our

Subject: [Braillenote] More BrailleNote Misery

Hi, Joseph. Four years old didn't seem that old to me because I have been
accustomed to the reliability and long battery life of my Braille Lite,
which is eight years old, by the way, and is functioning very nicely even as
I write this. I see that standards of longevity and battery power are lower
in the BrailleNote.
