The important reason to have a QT remains the significant functional difference and transparency between computer and BN. I do agree, though, that we seem to be second-class citizens in pretty much every other respect, and this is a deep shame. I'm pretty sure a swap is out of the question, but it definitely seems more attractive an option now than in previous generations of BN.
