Usually, if you try to use the search-and-replace feature with every kind of file except ASCII text, you'll get a "not found." message or else it will just lock up. Sometimes in ASCII files the search-and-replace will simply lock it up. I've been told the bt Apex users don't have any search-and-replace problems with their units. I bought mine in January, 2011.
