The advantage of the qwerty BN's has always been translating from text to
braille is more accurate than from braille to text. In all the years I have
purchased HumanWare products, I have never had the issues with the qwerty
models which I have with the Apex.
I'm not a techie, so I can't understand why the search-and-replace feature
and using the Apex as a terminal for WindowEyes works fine for the BT model,
but not for the qwerty.
I asked this question before, but I didn't receive an answer, so I'll ask it
again. If you have a BT Apex and you connect an external qwerty keyboard to
it, will the search-and-replace feature work? If one of you could run a
quick test and let me know, I'd appreciate it. The qwerty commands for
search-and-replace are control-f, f for forward, type the text for the
search, press enter, type the replacement text, press enter. Do this in a
KWT, doc, or rtf file.
If you reply to my message, please don't include my message at the top. I
know what I have written, and it's too cumbersome to wade through my own
message to get to your answer.
Thank you so much for your help.
