It also sounds like the battery is a bit loose in its compartment. Some people have found this problem, but I'm not sure what they have done about it. I would call hw - maybe a new battery can solve the problem, or maybe just some duct tape over the battery to hold it in place. I don't know about the 0% readings, but the random resets are, I suspect, due to the battery momentarily losing contact with the terminals in the apex as the unit is moved or jostled.
